SEVERE FLOODING IN Southern brazil
The first clean water champion in action.
We were contacted by a friend who has been following us on our website. and felt a need out of the goodness of their heart, to help a flood ravished area in southern Brazil where his cousin is a missionary. He reached out to us about our process for getting filters to the area and we were more than happy to help including traveling there ourselves.. The missionary coordinated with the Rotary Santa Cruz do Sul and a fellowship group in Canoas to identify the people who were the most in need. In the spirit of "train the trainer", demonstrations were performed on site for both groups on how to carry out the filter installation and follow up with the recipients.
In total, 205 filters were delivered for people in need.

This home got their drinking water from a well. The water looked clear in the glass coming out of the faucet; however, when the filter was backwashed, the sediment removed was clearly visible. They were happy to have clean, clear water for the first time.

This home of a 94 year old man was under water during the flooding. The water is still not suitable for drinking but now he has a means to clean water.
